Each of the catalog suppliers offer some form of quick ordering. Please review the supplier tips for additional information.
Can I put multiple suppliers on one requisition?
It is not recommended that multiple suppliers are used on one requisition. Having multiple suppliers on one requisition may also cause unnecessary delays in processing.
How do I request a new non-catalog supplier?
To add a supplier, please fill out the Supplier Add Request form located on the Home/Shop tab in buyND. Add the form to a shopping cart and submit the cart. Please do not include any other line items in your cart. Once we have verified the information the supplier will be added in the system.
Are other ND departments (telecom, locksmith, etc.) available in the buyND System?
No, internal departments have a separate ordering process.
How can I get a list of suppliers in the buyND system?
The suppliers can be viewed in two ways.
- A complete list of suppliers can be viewed by clicking on Browse Suppliers from the Home/Shop Tab. You may search by supplier type: Hosted Catalog Suppliers, Punch Out and Non-catalog Suppliers. The icon next to the Supplier name indicates the type of supplier catalog.
- You may also search suppliers through the Supplier section of the non-catalog form. This method allows you to search and select the supplier from the same point.
How do I know if the supplier is a catalog or a non-catalog supplier?
Supplier names have an icon next to their name that indicates the type of supplier (punchout, hosted, or non-catalog). If an item is not available in the punchout catalog, then the item can be ordered using the non-catalog form from the same supplier.
How do I track a purchase order with a catalog supplier?
Some catalog suppliers have the capability of order tracking within their punch out. Please review the Tips by Supplier section of the buyND web site for additional information.
Can I order from international suppliers using buyND?
If the supplier is available in buyND, you may submit a non-catalog requisition as normal.
