UPS Contract

Procurement Services is pleased to announce that the University has signed a contract with UPS for the shipping of small and large parcels. This program does not replace our current FedEx contract but offers aggressive pricing on services and additionally reduced fees including free on-site pick-up and a capped fuel surcharge. If you currently have a FedEx account, we have set up account information in UPS CampusShip to facilitate your access. Please see additional information in the FAQs below.

Optional training sessions for UPS CampusShip will be held in G20 Flanner Hall on the following dates and times:

Monday, September 24th
9:45 a.m.
10:30 a.m.
11:15 a.m.

Tuesday, September 25th
10:45 a.m.
11:30 a.m.
1:15 a.m.

Sessions are expected to last between 30 and 45 minutes. To sign up for a training session, please email Javier Hernandez at jhernan5@nd.edu. The program will go live on September 24th.

If you would like to schedule a daily pick-up, please contact Paul Kim at pkim1@nd.edu with the request. To schedule a one-time smart pick-up, please check the box in Section 6 when creating your label.

  1. Why did the University sign a contract with UPS?
    The University received aggressive pricing from UPS with many reduced fees. To see a comparison of FedEx and UPS rates, please click on the rates comparison sheet from the shipping services web page, accessible from the buyND home page.
     
  2. What is UPS CampusShip?
    CampusShip is an online program that allows users to prepare, process, and track UPS shipments directly from your desk. This program will allow you to store your own addresses for repeat shipments and will show a complete history of the packages that you have shipped with CampusShip. Once you have processed your package with Campus Ship, you can schedule a Smart PickUp at your location, drop it off at one of the campus drop boxes (check back for those locations, or drop it off at either guard station.
     
  3. How do I access UPS CampusShip?
    Please visit http://savewithups.com/nd/
     
  4. How do I know if I have an account number?
    If you currently have a FedEx account, a UPS account number was created for you. You will receive an email notification from UPS with your login information. 
     
  5. When can we expect the email invitation? 
    The email notifications are expected to go out September 21st and 22nd. 
     
  6. What if I don’t receive an email invitation?
    If you have not received an invitation by September 24th, please contact Javier Hernandez at jhernan5@nd.edu
     
  7. How are the charges being billed?
    A FOAPAL is tied to every account number. All shipments sent through UPS CampusShip will be billed to that FOAPAL. Your default numbers have been preloaded into the system and will be viewable in Section 5 under “FOAPAL.” If you wish to change the default, contact Paul Kim at pkim1@nd.edu. You will be able to change the FOAPAL for individual shipments.
