Please make sure that you are using your Net ID and Net Password to access the buyND System. If you are a requestor in the system and have attended a buyND class, and are still unable to login, please contact the Help Desk at 631-4BUY (4289).

What should I do if I receive the message “Your session has timed out”?

The system will timeout after 60 minutes of inactivity. This timeout is required for security purposes. You will need to log in again.

Who do I ask if there is incorrect information in my user Profile?

Please contact Procurement Services if you notice any errors. Call our Help desk 1-4289 or email Procurement Services

Why do I get so many e-mails from buyND?

The buyND system will send e-mail messages at different stages of the Requisition-to-PO process. For infrequent requestors and approvers, these e-mails act as reminders to take action regarding their purchases. Frequent requestors and approvers who are in the system everyday may not find these reminders necessary. To turn off the e-mails, go to the “Email Preferences” section in “My Profile”. Click on “Edit” and deselect the reminders that you do not want to receive.

How do I setup my profile?

Please refer to the buyND Training Manual for instructions on how to setup the profile. You may also view the animated tutorials for setting up FOAPAL and Ship-To Addresses.

What ship-to addresses should I add in my profile?

Within the Addresses tab you should set your most common delivery Ship To’s. Selecting nicknames will help identify the locations more quickly when you are creating an order.

Can I create multiple ship-to’s with different Contact Names and Room number for the same building?

Yes, you can create multiple ship-to's which identify different departmental locations. Select a different nickname for each ship-to for your reference.

Where does the nickname appear on the requisition or purchase order?

The nickname is for an easy reference that allows you to select an address while you are creating a requisition. The nicknames do not appear on the shipping label.

If shipments are delivered to one central place in my department, do I ship to that location directly or to my office (or lab)?

In most cases Central Receiving and suppliers who deliver directly to departments are aware of the central delivery area in a building/department. It is important to specify the Contact Name, Room No. and Department Name for accurate product delivery within your department. The detailed delivery address may be entered in the fields “Contact Name” and “Room No./ Dept. Name” in the Ship-To section.

Do I need to always enter room numbers and department name for each ship-to address?

Yes, room numbers and department names are printed on the shipping label along with the other information from the ship-to address block. Entering all information accurately ensures timely delivery.

How long does it take for a new user to be added to the buyND system?

All new users need to attend the buyND training class and have the Business Manager of the department submit workflow information to Procurement Services. Once this information is received, the user will be activated in the system.

Do I need to attend the buyND training if I am ONLY approving requisitions?

Approvers do not need to attend the buyND training class.

Can a user have access to see all orders within a department?

Yes, On request of a Budget Administrator, we can set the "Department View" permission for a user.
