1/28/09 FedEx Named Preferred Supplier of Express and Ground Shipping Services
Effective January 31st, 2009, FedEx will become the preferred supplier of express package and ground package delivery services to the University. FedEx has been awarded this designation as the result of a competitive process evaluated by a committee of campus representatives and facilitated by Procurement Services. FedEx was selected for their dependable express and ground shipping services, commitment to customer support and a rate structure that beat all other carriers. We strongly urge your department to take advantage of the benefits FedEx has to offer.
Action Required: FedEx Account Setup
DHL will discontinue domestic service on January 31, 2009. If you do not already have a FedEx account, please set up a new account as soon as possible by sending an email to Kara Finch at kfinch@nd.edu with your name, department, campus address, campus phone number, email address, FOAPAL (XXXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XX) and the names of those who should be listed on the account. Account setup may take up to 48 hours. Please email this information as soon as possible to ensure that an account is active prior to DHL’s discontinuation.
For those already with FedEx accounts, you do not need to take action. Your account will be linked to this new contract. Contract pricing will be available in the next couple weeks.
