1/4/08 Contract signed with Bob Miller's as the preferred appliance supplier; Agreement extended to Notre Dame employees

The University of Notre Dame and Bob Miller Appliances have reached an agreement related to the purchase of appliances for an initial two (2) year term. Effective December 15, 2007, this agreement will provide for competitive pricing and timely delivery on a wide range of appliance products, including, but not limited to, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, ranges, and dishwashers.  Bob Miller Appliances has agreed to make appliance deliveries to specific campus locations in lieu of Central Receiving, unless otherwise specified by the requisitioner.  Removal and disposal of existing appliances, when needed, will also be available at the time the new units are delivered for no additional charge.  Bob Miller Appliances has extended to Notre Dame their deepest discounted pricing with free delivery and installation.

The preferred method of ordering is by placing a requisition in the buyND system.

This agreement also offers Notre Dame employees the opportunity to purchase appliances at the same pricing level (some exceptions by manufacturer may apply) as allowed for University purchases. Personal purchases of small appliances, whenever possible, should be picked up at the store by the buyer.  However, larger units (such as refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, etc.) will be delivered by Bob Miller Appliances to residences for no charge and existing units can be removed at that time upon request. Delivery charges may be assessed if the delivery location is outside the local area. In order to qualify for a personal purchase as a Notre Dame employee, you will only be required to present your ND photo ID card at the time of your visit to the store.

Current store hours for Bob Miller Appliances located at 2700 S. Main St., South Bend, IN 46614 are:

• Monday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.;
• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
• Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. 
• Closed on Sundays.

A catalog of commonly requested appliances has been created for Notre Dame by Bob Miller Appliances to aid in the selection process.  The catalog includes manufacturer’s name, model number, dimensions, color choices, unit prices, features, and product warranty information.
